Zimbabwe’s representatives at the 2026 Cossasa Games produced their most complete performance of the week on Wednesday afternoon, overpowering Lesotho in the final at White City Stadium.

The hosts dictated play from the opening exchanges, showcasing sharp movement and a high work rate that left the visitors struggling to gain a foothold. A vocal home crowd in Bulawayo roared on the team as the scoreline became increasingly one-sided.

The result capped a proud campaign for Zimbabwe, who lifted the trophy in front of their own supporters and highlighted the depth of talent emerging in the country’s school sports system.

The Cossasa Games draw teams from across Southern Africa, and this dominant final win will stand as a memorable moment in the country’s hosting of the 2026 edition.
