Zimbabwe has dispatched a team of skilled drivers to Germany, with officials saying the move is part of a broader push to improve road safety and driving standards across the country.
Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona emphasised that the trip should not be seen merely as a competition, but as an opportunity for local drivers to gain international exposure. The representatives are expected to return with valuable experience that can be applied to strengthen driving practices and reduce road crashes in Zimbabwe.
The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts by the government to address road traffic accidents, which remain a major concern. By learning from advanced driving systems abroad, the country hopes to enhance driver training and enforcement of road regulations.
